Eligibility
A doctor confirms a limited life expectancy from any illness, including:
- Cancer
- General debility
- Heart, lung and neurological diseases
- Alzheimer's, stroke, coma, or dementia
- Liver or kidney disease
- HIV/AIDS
- ALS
- Birth defects
- Parkinson's disease
- Failure to thrive
When people are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, it can be months, weeks or days. Hospice Visions has often
found that patients who elect hospice care in the early stage of their life-limiting illness find that their pain and
symptoms are effectively managed. They are then able to leave their home to spend time with family and friends, to
shop, see movies, have lunch - many of the same activities they enjoyed prior to their illness.
